This will be my last post on the N scale subway entrance kiosk for a while. I’m at a point that I only have roof mullions, main roof and misc. details to add before painting. I’ve continued some progress on my scratchbuilt subway kiosk. As you can see, I’ve added the main supports for the pitched roof over the middle and back sections. The supports are simply .040″ x .040″ strip styrene.
Some of the angled cuts are a little rough to say the least, like the main one in the back wall, but hopefully I can fix that up with a little sanding and filling with putty. I still need to add the window mullions on the rear wall.

Recently, I posted about the art deco building in Singapore called Parkview Sqaure. That gorgeous building features art deo statues just below the roofline holding lighted orbs.

For those of you that may want to dress up your own N scale scratchbuilt or kit art deco structures in the future with similar detail, something like these figures might be very difficult to locate or come by. Read the rest of this entry »
